Follow the below steps in order to apply

1. Create an account (Register yourself) on SGIVS Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. Click Here to register.
2. Book your appointment online at SGIVS Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. You can choose a convenient date and time to visit the SGIVS ICAC for your application submission. Click Here to book your appointment online.  
3. Ensure that you have your all other supporting documents, exactly as per the "Documents Checklist" section. 
4. Visit the SGIVS ICAC, as per your jurisdiction. The address and location of the ICAC will be clearly mentioned in the appontment letter. 
5. Kindly ensure you reach the ICAC 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. 
6. Submit your application and deposit your fees at SGIVS ICAC. You can check the fee for this application under the "Fee Details" section. 
7. Your application submission process is now complete! You can avail our Courier service to get your attested document(s) delivered to your doorstep!
8. While your application is in process, you can track your application to know the current stage of your application process. Click Here to track your application online. 

Note: For Postal Applications, follow step 1 and step 2, and then apply for postal application by loggin-in. Click here to log-in. Follow the step-by-step direction to prepare your postal package and send it to the correct SGIVS ICAC as per your jurisdiction. Please ensure to attach your proof of payment in your postal package.

Document Checklist

a) MARRIAGE AFFIDAVIT BY HUSBAND

• Passports (Both Spouses)
  Self-attested photocopies of the front and last pages (personal information pages)
• Resident Card
  Original Resident Card along with a photocopy.
• The spouse’s name must be endorsed in both passports.
• Details in both passports must match.

In Case of Mismatch in Passport Details:

• When Names Do Not Match
  If the spouse’s name on the passport does not match, a “One and the Same Person Affidavit” must be submitted.
  (This is a paid service under the Affidavit & Declaration category.)
• Who Should Provide the Affidavit
  The affidavit must be prepared by the person whose name differs:
  
  • If the husband’s name requires correction – the husband must provide the affidavit.
  • If the wife’s name requires correction – the wife must provide the affidavit.
• Applicants Residing in Oman If the concerned applicant is residing in Oman, the affidavit (One and Same) can be prepared and submitted locally.
• Applicants Residing in India If the concerned applicant is in India, the affidavit (One and Same) must be prepared in India and apostilled before submission.
• Extent of Name Difference
  Minor Differences (Allowed):
  Small phonetic variations (e.g., Devika vs Devikha, where pronunciation remains the same) are acceptable with a One and the Same Person Affidavit.
  
  Major Differences (Not Allowed):
  If the name is completely different, the passport must first be updated with the correct name. Only after correction can the marriage affidavit be processed.

Notes

• Validity of Documents
  Ensure that all passports and Oman Resident Cards are valid (not expired) at the time of submission.
• Original Documents for Verification
  All original documents must be brought to the center for verification. Photocopies alone will not be accepted.
  Mandatory Physical Presence
  All individuals required to sign the affidavit must visit the center in person and sign in front of the concerned officer.
