Follow the below steps in order to apply

1. Create an account (Register yourself) on SGIVS Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. Click Here to register.
2. Properly filled up online application form with signature of the applicant –www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa
3. 2 recent Passport size photos (51mm x 51mm) not older than Three months, no uniform, with white background, DARK DRESS and frontal view. Eyebrows should be visible. Ears, forehead chin to be completely visible. In case of locals wearing qandoura the background should be in light blue. Clarity of the photo is very important - Edited, blurred or unclear photos should not be accepted.
4. Valid Passport in original with clear photocopy. Old passport needs to be carried, in case the valid UAE Resident visa on it along with the photocopy
5. Ensure that you select the appropriate option for the dropdown "Indian Mission/Office" as per your correct jurisdiction. To know your jurisdiction, refer to the "Jurisdiction" section.
6. Print and sign your application
7. Book your appointment online at SGIVS Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. You can choose a convenient date and time to visit the SGIVS ICAC for your application submission. Click Here to book your appointment online.  
8. Ensure that you have your passport, photographs and all other supporting documents, exactly as per the "Documents Checklist" section.
9. Visit the SGIVS ICAC, as per your jurisdiction. The address and location of the ICAC will be clearly mentioned in the appointment letter. 
10. Kindly ensure you reach the ICAC 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. 
11. Submit your application and deposit your fees at SGIVS ICAC. You can check the fee for this application under the "Fee Details" section.
12. Enroll for Biometrics at SGIVS ICAC (if required)

Documents Checklist

A tourist visa can only be granted to a foreigner who does not have a residence or occupation in India and whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives.  No other activity is permissible on a Tourist Visa.  The Tourist visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.

Important points to be noted during visa application:

• Self-attested photocopy of Proof of Current address in Oman of the applicant.

Additional Documents Required for other Nationals (Other than Omani)

• Additional Form (Download Form) & Documents for Passport holders other than Oman nationals including proof of valid Oman Residence Permit / Visa.
• Additional documents for minors: Photocopy of Birth Certificate of the applicant, passport copies of the parents and Consent letter signed by both parents or custody document of local court (if applicable).
• In case of previous Indian national, a copy of the Renunciation of Indian Citizenship/Surrender of Indian passport is also required.
• Copy of the last 03 months Bank statement showing sufficient funds for the stay.
• Proof of payment of the applicable fee

Important Advisory/Points

• Under Family details: The applicant must specify the previous nationality of both the parents. Applicant should not leave that blank
• There should be a gap of at least two months between two visits to India on a Tourist Visa on re-entry of nationals of Afghanistan, China, Iraq, Sudan, foreigners of Pakistan origin and Stateless persons.

• Photograph should be mandatorily uploaded before submitting the online application form.
• Tourist Visa applicants travelling by Ship, need mandatorily biometrics.

• Diplomatic/Official passport holder are advised to contact directly to the concerned Indian Embassy for diplomatic/official visa.
